Join the musicians of Updike’s Rose this holiday season as they present the beloved classic A Christmas Carol. This unique adaptation tells the story of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge through the original Dickens’ text and traditional music. Updike’s Rose is an early/traditional music ensemble composed of local RI musicians, featuring classical guitar, recorder, cello and other folk and traditional instruments. The Rose originally performed strictly early music but has expanded its repertoire to include modern arrangements from Leonard Cohen, Josh Ritter, Mandolin Orange and many more.
